A Clarification of the “Bush Doctrine”

Tuesday, February 1st, 2005

John O’Sullivan writes what I wish I had written myself. Does that ever happen to yall as well? He lays it out perfectly here in NRO. There is a middle path between neo-realism and what I like to call uber-realism. At times the Bush Doctrine seems naive, but as we watch Iraq slowly, and slightly bloodily transform itself into a free society there are some good ideas to be found within this new way of doing things.

North Korea is Done

Tuesday, February 1st, 2005

Bush’s policy regarding North Korea received a lot of flak this last election, but it is working, which is of course why it received flak in the first place. Anything that is good for our country is automatically opposed by men like John Kerry. Who? Yeah I know I have almost forgotten him too. The Times has an excellent piece on the slow, painful disintegration of the evilest regime on earth, and in this day and age that is saying something. While it might be hard watch this many people starve to death knowing that we could save them with food aid, there is no question that more lives will be saved if this horrible monstrosity of Marxism implodes, as it likely will by next fall at the latest.
