Breaking At Drudge…
Written by Mark Harris on February 14th, 2005FEC To Restrict Internet Political Speech…
As much as I hate Bush’s perscription drug bill, I think a case can be made that his signing of McCain-Feingold is the greater threat to our liberties and well being. Reforming the insanity really has to be done soon, but sadly few in Congress have the cajones to do it.

In case all you guys were wondering too, who knows how these FEC rules could even affect a blog like this designed to aid strong conservative Republican candidates. Surely our journalistic rights won’t be infringed, but our ability to aid through donation systems and other types of help we had been hoping to give strong candidates may be in danger.

McCain-Feingold happened. That was the first step. Don’t worry about this, laws like this were made to be broken. You can’t regulate something as fluid as the internet.
