It’s about time this guy got tough. Positive campaigns are great and all, but Gourley doesnt deserve to be treated with the kind of respect Davidson was giving him. He’s a crook who makes us all ashamed to call ourselves College Republicans.

Davidson was right to begin his campaign on the issues and to stay positive, allowing CR’s around the country to get to know him. It must be tempting to want to hammer the Gourley/CRNC scandal issue day and night, but Davidson was able to rise above it and state his case for why he should be our next chairman.
Now with key endorsements in the bag and widespread support around the country (even in so-called Gourley states), the time has come for him to address the 80 pound elephant in the room. Of course I think he missed one question…
When the scandal first broke, Hoplin’s response was that the Seattle Times article was full of “lies and distortions.” Because of this, nobody should talk to the media. I have read that article front to back and can’t seem to find a single fact disputed by the Gourley/CRNC to date. Did our chairman lie to us?
And if so, why is Gourley attacking those who had the courage to tell us the truth?

And by the way….. does anyone out there actually support Paul Gourley for CRNC Chair? I think myself and a lot of my fellow readers would love to discuss these issues with you.

No one supports Gourley, they are supporting Hoplin’s choice. I question whether or not Gourley has the intelligence to deal with this RDI problem.

Gov Schwarzenegger says ‘Dont Support the Girly Man!’ when he throws his support behind Davidson with an official endorsement.

This is a major coup for the Davidson campaign. This can bring in boatloads of donations, and the CRNC might be able to get Ahnuld for a fundraiser, which will be needed to get the CRiNC out of debt to RDI. Does Gourley have anyone backing him besides Thune, who’s obviously a prominent figure, but he’s no Ahnold, nor three of the most powerful House Committee chairmen.

Between Ann Coulter, Michael Reagan, and Arnold, Davidson’s endorsements greatly overshadow Gourley’s (which consist of John Thune). This is unusual, as the establishment in DC have had years to build up contacts and support among elected officials. But folks want to back a winner, and right now Davidson is definately the favorite.

I wouldn’t call Davidson the favorite, though he is by far the better candidate. Gourley has the in with state federation chairs, after Hoplin spent the last two years buying loyalty from state chairs.
Also, states can be deceiving, Minnesota is actually the largest federation, with the most delegates to the convention this summer. Pennsylvania, while being one of the most important states in a presidential election has little impact on the race for chairmanship.

I’m tired of these College Republican “Gourley men.” Vote for Davidson! lol
Davidson just picked up the MA endorsement, which in the CRNC race is really big because there are so many colleges here. I think it’s the fifth-biggest state for CRNC, and the largest one that hadn’t gone to one camp or the other. He’s really on a roll. Here’s hoping he wins!!!!!!
