Get Firefox!

Today, I just got another reminder why I dumped Microsoft Internet Explorer (and you should too)… they are called extensions. They allow you to plug all sorts of cool things into Firefox. As a web developer, I hate MSIE because it terribly butchers Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and eXtensible Hyper Text Markup Language (XHTML), which I know is gibberish to a lot of you, but if people used a standards compliant browser like Konqueror, Safari, Netscape, or Firefox then websites could do a lot of really cool things which MSIE is currently not able to do. Unfortunately, since something like 80% of users use MSIE one has to program to that market. But I digress…

Anyway you should download Firefox here, because its cool and it allows you with the proper plugins to even control iTunes and other music software straight from your browser… not to mention tons of other cool things.

I am Heteronormative, and proud of it!

Wednesday, March 9th, 2005

It is getting to the where the left increasingly get their feelings hurt, get offended or just feel down right abnormal due to insensitive people such as myself having normal conversations. The real reason they get offended is because everywhere the left looks, the world around them confirms what they know to be true; They are not normal!

The radical homosexual agenda and the destruction of standards

Ben Shapiro

The Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender and Supporters Alliance (BGLTSA) of Harvard University is fighting mad. Last week, actress Jada Pinkett Smith won an award from the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations. During her acceptance speech, she told women in the audience, “you can have it all — a loving man, devoted husband, loving children, a fabulous career … To my men, open your mind, open your eyes to new ideas.” Rather sweet, no? Not to the BGLTSA, which called for an apology from the organizers of the Cultural Rhythms show, explaining that Smith’s statements were “extremely heteronormative.” “Heteronormative,” for those who don’t speak the radical homosexual lingo, may be defined as the viewpoint that heterosexual relationships are normal, and others are not.

AZ For Gourley?

Unconfirmed by College Republicans from MI Blog is reporting it. How anyone can sell their soul over this still bothers me, but it looks like another one did.

Annan: Hezbollah Must Be Accepted

Wednesday, March 9th, 2005

Hat tip to LGF for pointing out Kofi Oil for $$$ Annan’s idiotic statement in regard to Hezbollah

He was responding to a question about the disarmament of Hezbollah, which showed its strength Tuesday at a huge pro-Syrian rally in Beirut attended by hundreds of thousands of people who chanted anti-U.S. slogans. Two huge banners read in English: “Thank you Syria” and “No to foreign interference.”

Annan said the world needs to accept that in every society different groups may hold different views.

“Of course, we need to be careful of the forces at work in Lebanese society as we move forward,” he said.

“But even the Hezbollah — if I read the message on the placards they are using — they are talking about non-interference by outsiders … which is not entirely at odds with the Security Council resolution, that there should be withdrawal of Syrian troops,” Annan told reporters.

Yes he did actually say this… read here.

CRNC: Open Letter from Eric Hoplin

Wednesday, March 9th, 2005

Current National Chairman, Eric Hoplin, sent the following letter out to many of the CR state chairman as an “open” letter to Michael Davidson. Beyond being a disgusting personal smear, and using CRNC resources to blatantly campaign for Gourley, it continues the CRNC’s tactic of using fear to keep chapters in line and to silence legitimate dissent. I urge all College Republicans to unite in opposing this absolute non-sense.

Here is a wonderful exceprt:

I apologize for the tone of this letter. Perhaps it would be more fair if
it were also directed at all those who have been unfairly critical of my
team in the past. I suspect you will better understand this letter one
day, when you and an organization you love is unfairly attacked, after you
have worked tirelessly and selflessly to fix a difficult problem, leaving
the organization much stronger than you found it.
