I’ve done some preliminary checking to confirm the recent story on CRNCTruthCaucus about Michigan’s Republican Party State Chair urging the removal of Chairman Ryan Cassin because of his support of Gourley. Is this story is true then it could mean the end of the Gourley campaign. Rumor has it that Hoplin, upon getting this news, has decided to think about alternative candidates. If the Michigan story is true, all indications seem to point toward it being true, then it won’t be long until Gourley is an after thought. Serves him right for what he did.

This story was not broke by crnctruthcaucus. It originally appeared on the yahoo GourleyVsDavidson group. We then picked it up on crncchatter, and now truthcaucus has taken it on.

Michigan had a huge YLS yesterday and it word out of there is that this is completely false. Sounds like it was rumor made up by an unhappy CR in MI. Also, Hoplin would also have to derecognize the duly-elected member to the national board, along with the State Party chair. If only the State Party chair derecognized him, it would still mean that he was the CRNC National Board member, and would still control Michigan’s delegates. But, good try to make it look like Davidson has a shot in hell at this election.

Actually DC Insider, you need to read the CRNC Constitution again. Hoplin has to recognize the CR Chairman that the State Party recognizes. Nice try prick. This story is very true, and Cassin is out. I just hope that other State Chairs that support Gourley have very strong relationships with their state party, because God only knows where else this could happen.

The first instance of the Michigan myth popped up on my Yahoo Group, GourleyVsDavidson. I just talked to Tom Gunnells, the person who posted it and he informed me that he was given bad information. No one would know whats going on in MI better than I.
