HSP Direct & RDI

Written by Mark Harris on March 27th, 2005

HSP Direct one of the new direct mail firms for the CRNC has connections to RDI as documented at the CRNC Chatter site. Well things get even worse when you look at HSP Direct’s website:

The Ideal HSP Direct Client:

Your chances for direct mail success increase dramatically if you are an organization that:

* Is passionate about your issue or candidate.
* Already has solid programs in place and needs funding to keep them going.
* Has access to recognizable politicians, celebrities or well-known national figures for signing fund raising letters.
* Has the patience and commitment to build a program.
* Understands that creative license is a MUST in order to give us the freedom we need to create emotional, compelling fund raising appeals that will spur the reader to immediate action.

“Creative license”… “emotional, compelling”… you connect the dots.

At a point you just can’t ignore this stuff. I wanted to believe the crnc was doing the right thing in changing fundraisers, but then they go and do this.

Welcome to direct mail fundraising. Is it to much to ask the National Officers to keep a close watch over what is sent out?

LI rakes in the dough and it doesn’t rip off its old folks… is it too much to ask.

Yes, let’s bring LI into the equation. Morton is friends with Amy Paul and sent her to the CRNC to help get rid of RDI! Way to bring that up Mark!

I guess when Gourley talks about RDI not upholding the crnc’s “ethical standards,” he was referring to the profit margin…. clearly not the content of the letters. Same author, same rules, same targets.

If Gourley wins this thing, our organization is doomed.
