CRNC Race Update

Written by Mark Harris on April 7th, 2005

Thanks to CRNCTruthCaucus’s delegate tally I put together a little something. The magic number to win is 83 delegates.

All declared states (including NM for Gourley)
Davidson - 47
Gourley - 61
Undecided - 57

Declared states + leans
Davidson - 54
Gourley - 66
Undecided - 45

UPDATE:
Declared states + leans + a few tipoffs
Davidson - 65
Gourley - 70
Undecided - 30

The order of reliability of the #’s gets worse as you add in the leans and tipoffs but just so folks get an idea of how it is shaping up I posted them.

Now obviously this race is neck and neck and it may come down to delegates breaking pledges and the like, but at this juncture the race is clearly Gourley’s still to lose. It is a sad indictment of the College Republicans nationally that Gourley even has this many delegates, but I digress…

You need to add national officer votes (they each get 1) to Gourley’s totals.

Well Paul doesn’t have the national officers locked up. K Hart is pissed that he hasn’t recieved a call since January, and he can bring along Corrine and Chuck.

By the way, Paul’s numbers aren’t nearly as good as he’d like people to think they are. He’s got some real problems. His support is a mile long and an inch deep. Most of these states went with him because Hoplin told them it was locked up. Now that it’s a real race people are rethinking their positions.

Your site is a refreshing change from the majority of sites I have visited. When I first started visiting web sites I was excited by the potential of the internet as a resource and was very disappointed initially. You have restored my enthusiasm and I thank you for your efforts to share your insights and help the world become a better place.
