Brazille and Bloggers
Clinton/Gore Strategist Donna Brazille, blogger Mark Harris, and blogger Gary Livacari. What more could you ask for?

Ms. Brazille asked me what I’d be doing post-graduation, I told her politics and she said, “See you on the battlefield”

CRNC D-Day: Tommorow

Sunday, April 10th, 2005

Well the rumors all around the CRNC circle this past weekend have been about the Gourley campaign declaring victory tommorow saying they will have over 90 committed delegates. Rumored states include NJ and GA plus some others. Having crunched the numbers myself find this scenario highly unlikely as Gourley would have to pick up multiple states that had been rumored to be leaning against him as well as holding on to all of his states.

The Davidson campaign officially recieved the Missouri endorsement and has also claimed to have several others in the works for early this week. If they are telling the truth it will be hard for anyone to push this race over the top before the convention, not to mention the likelihood of defections of delegates once they actually reach the floor. We’ll wait to see the Gourley announcement tommorow, but would be shocked to see the Gourley campaign mount an insurmountable lead.

Rumors also have it that the Gourley campaign has been trying to peel off state chairs Brad Smith (MA) and Tyler Matthews (MT) from the Davidson campaign with national ticket spots, but both have reportedly turned down the advances.

Doing a little number crunching with some inside tips I currently have
Gourley: 64
Davidson: 57
Undecided: 50

This includes some states which are to be announced by both sides in the next couple of days, and I still can’t get Gourley or Davidson to the 86 delegates needed to win. Guess we’ll find out tommorow.

Santorum Calls on DeLay to Answer Questions

Sunday, April 10th, 2005

Well this atleast scores some positive points in my book as Sen. Santorum calls on DeLay to answers questions. For those conservative willing to put our 2006 hopes on the weight of DeLays shoulders, should read Tom Coburn’s account of DeLays actions selling out conservatives time after time. The GOP is in real risk of losing the House in 2006, and Washington is abuzz with the bad poll #’s Republicans have so far.
