Rep. Dick Pombo, Straight-Shooter

Thursday, April 21st, 2005

You mess with the bull (or at least a rancher), you get the horns. It’s about time somebody said something.

In other news, I’ve known politicians to reach the depths of duplicity, but to be duplicatory is new. On a side note, it’s probably obvious to most of you, but why don’t candidate websites indicate their party? These shenanigans were committed by a Democrat, the self-proclaimed “Barack Obama of Texas” (gag), but that was hard for me to sleuth out.

Why the US needs Nuclear Energy

Thursday, April 21st, 2005

Here is a great article from City Journal explaining why The US needs more Nuclear Energy. It also talks about Three Mile Island and shows that there are a lot of misunderstandings about what happened. The left has used that event politically to scare people, but what else is new.

Overnight News Roundup

Thursday, April 21st, 2005

I like this article (I couldn’t find a version that didn’t require registration, and work beckons…sorry) because it looks like they didn’t even try to get quotes from conservatives. My guess is all the GOP consultants were out getting stoned or something.

Also, it looks like we got sucker punched in Connecticut.

And in older news, Doc Hastings, who represents the most beautiful congressional district in America is probably going to push for hearings against DeLay. This is a good thing in my opinion, because it allows for, say, Tom Tancredo to become Majority Leader.
