I read the article, though not the ‘blog. I think it hits on an important phenomenon: the dualistic nature of the Republican party on college campuses. You have your typical blue-blazer types, who aspire to CR fame and fortune and would never be caught dead at a pro-life rally. Then you have the people they rely on but don’t really care about or agree with, the activists who have better things to do than go to chapter meetings and watch the CR E-board congratulate themselves about whatever RINO congressman they organized a lit. drop for.
These MN Campus Republicans, and groups like them, offer a more than reasonable alternative to the sturm und drung of the College Republicans, which more often than not does nothing but serve the career needs of a narrow few.

These “true” conservative groups that don’t campaign for Republicans unless they are too the right of Tom Coburn serve no purpose. What good is getting attention by holding rallies? Elections are where we can make a difference; not the number of times we wave posterboards on campus.

I disagree Michael. The long term success of our movement lies on campus activism not being the slaves of RINO candidates.
