Bringing Order Out of Chaos

Wednesday, June 1st, 2005

“A single theme runs through the issues that hurt Democrats most — order. From cultural issues like abortion and gay rights, to crime and foreign policy, the party that represents order wins…. And, fairly or not, Americans have perceived a Democratic tolerance for disorder and a Republican commitment to restoring order. That has been the subtext of every presidential election since 1968, although it has usually been called by other names — like abortion, gay rights, flag burning, or ‘values.’ It explains why, in most national contests, Republicans have won” — political strategist Marshall Wittman writing in “Blueprint,” the magazine of the Democratic Leadership Council.

“Bringing order out of chaos” is a theme that I have noticed a lot lately. If you look at our nation’s Constitution, the principles of Federalism and the structure of our representative Republic, you cannot help but to notice the common theme of order throughout. I could go on and on about the Constitution, our founders, Federalism and our Republic, because they fascinate me, but I want to point this theme out in the issues that I most care about. Issues such as the Fair Tax, reforming Social Security, and even abortion there is a common theme of bringing order out of chaos. If you want an example of chaos, look at our nation’s tax code, it is irrationally a chaotic mess. The Social Security system is a joke and there is nothing normal or orderly about killing babies. I would be as bold as to define the conservative movement as “bringing order out of chaos” because that is exactly what reforming social security, changing our tax system (A.K.A the Fairtax) and appointing judges that literally interpret the Constitution is all about.
Our tax code is a million page mess that is so convoluted, that no one understands it and it discourages productivity. It is so “chaotic” that people have to get paid professionals to make sense of it so that they can pay their taxes.
Social Security is a system that has been on track for going broke sense its inception and the more politicians try and fix it, the more of a chaotic mess it becomes.
Bush’s prescription Medicare Bill is a giant bureaucratic mess that will continue to get bigger and waste more money. All Republican who voted for this were morons.
Judges do not have the constitutional power to write laws, any who think they can override the constitution, the will of the people and the legislative branch should be impeached. I’ll just stop it at that.
