President Carter, will he ever stop embarrassing himself?

Tuesday, June 7th, 2005

As a citizen of Georgia, I am sad to say that I lose respect for our former President Jimmy Carter every time he opens his mouth. He is now calling on the U.S. to shut down Gitmo. I have one question Jimmy……..Where the Hell where you when our fellow Americans were being held hostage in Iran? Carter in my opinion is near the bottom as far as our presidents go and he has sunk to new lows since he has left office. Not many people have picked up on this but Carter took part in the “Not In Our Name” campaign during the beginning of the war, breaking the long held tradition of past presidents staying out of the politics of future presidents. What is the worst part is Carter did this while on foreign soil. This is yet another example of the left failing to recognize who the enemy is. The terrorists in Gitmo are fanatical freaks who will do anything to kill Americans. You cannot reason with fanatics and you cannot reason with terrorists. You would think that Carter would have learned this lesson by now, but I guess not.

An interesting article from the Wall Street Journal describing how some planners of the 9/11 memorial are trying to turn it into liberal propaganda by doing what liberals do best, rewrite and reinterpret history. Just makes me sick. Click to continue »

YES!!!!!!

Oh this article from the Boston Globe is pretty sweet. It turns out Jean-Francois Kerry was not the brightest bulb when he was at Yale, ultimately scoring a lower average than well known “village idiot” George W. Bush. The best part is when Kerry’s professor covers for him:

Gaddis Smith, a retired Yale history professor who taught both Kerry and Bush, said in a telephone interview that he vividly remembers Kerry as a student during the 1964-1965 school year, when Kerry would have been a junior. However, Smith said he doesn’t have a specific memory about Bush.

Based on what Smith recalls teaching that year, Kerry scored a 71 and 79 in two of Smith’s courses. When Smith was told those scores, he responded: ”Uh, oh. I thought he was good student. Those aren’t very good grades.” To put the grades in perspective, Smith said that he had a well-earned reputation for being tough, and noted that such grades would probably be about 10 points higher in a similar class today because of the impact of what he called ”grade inflation.”

Uh, oh….

Internet Freedom in China

To the extent it existed before, it’s going to get a bit worse. It sounds like they took a page from our own FEC’s playbook. Here’s my favorite part:

The Internet has profited many people but it also has brought many problems, such as sex, violence and feudal superstitions and other harmful information that has seriously poisoned people’s spirits. (emphasis added)

Feudal superstitions, the bĂȘte noire of the CCP. I didn’t know they still blamed their problems on it.
