Against Renaming 16th Street
Friday, August 5th, 2005I think Reagan would have been rolling in his grave to know that a street in DC was going to be renamed after him. I’ve been reading a lot of stuff about this lately, and basically I agree with what has been written by a bunch of NRO Contributors. Renaming roads except in extreme circumstances (Karl Marx Ave, Hitler Strasse, etc - even in those situations the name should be returned to their previous incarnations) is just something that should not be done. Its bad enough part of the EPA is housed in the Ronald Reagan building in DC, we don’t need a street.
