Note to Leftists: There are - believe it or not - parents of fallen American soldiers in Iraq who actually disagree with Cindy Sheehan. In this morning’s Wall Street Journal, Ronald Griffin, whose son was killed in Iraq in May 2003, severely condemns Ms. Sheehan and her anti-war ploy. He mentions four other families who oppose her and support President Bush. I know (according to our liberal patrons) all of us at savethegop are “chickenhawks,” but surely these families are entitled to voice their disagreement with Ms. Sheehan. My guess is Sheehan is a distinct minority in this debate over Iraq, as over 70% of military families supported President Bush in the 2004 election. Cleary, she has isolated herself from mainstream military opinion on this matter.
