I was filling up my car at the gas station today staring long faced at the pump as the price counter seemed to have no end, when I had one of those moments of pondering the “what if’s.” What would things be like if Al Gore had been our President instead of Bush? Hum…….what if? Well, for starters I think it is a safe bet to say that gas prices would be a whole lot higher under Gore. There would be no limits to the amount of regulations he would want to place on all of our energy sources, (that is, the energy sources that he still allowed to exist) And what about drilling in Alaska, building more refineries, or nuclear energy? Yeah right, that would never happen. Who cares if we have not built any refineries or nuclear plants since the 1970’s. We would be under that stupid Kato treaty, North Korea would be pushing us around like a little school kid, (who knows, we might even be building a nuclear plant for the North Koreans our selves) and God only knows what environmental experiments he would have our military doing instead of killing terrorists. Whoops, full tank, I’ll just leave it at that for now.
