The Republicans finally got with the political picture and today in one of the biggest coup de tat’s in years and just a brilliant x 1000 political move they forced Democrats to vote on a withdrawl measure that failed 403-3. The floor just fell out on Democratic fundraising, the DNC, DCCC, and DSCC are screaming bloody murder right now.

All I have to say is bravo to the Republicans for finally wising up! Bravo!

NOTE: Everyone should mark this as the Gettysburg for the Dems, the high water mark if you will. The Republicans baited them into charging up the long bloody hill against them and their stone wall… pooof. The invincible army of the anti-war cause is shown to be a mere wraith, a shadow. Hooorah!

With all due respect, I don’t think you have fairly represented the Republicans.

Yesterday, Murtha calls for the immediate withdrawal from Iraq. Today, the Republicans put up a bill to see whether Congressmen will actually support that rhetoric with a vote.

The point of doing this was to show the Democrats that they can’t have it both ways, trying to fire-up the Michael Moore faction of the Democratic party while not doing anything that would actually upset average Americans.
