Kaloogian Launches Bid for Cunningham’s Seat
Written by Mark Harris on November 28th, 2005Howard Kaloogian, former US Senate candidate, has announced his bid for the Congressional seat formerly held by Duke Cunningham, who resigned in disgrace today for accepting millions in bribes. Kaloogian appears to be the genuine article of real conservative we need in Washington. What say you SaveTheGOP readers? This is a safe GOP seat so the primary is key, we need to get another real conservative in.

You beat me to this! Kaloogian is the guy that launched the recall of Gray Davis, if I remember correctly, so that is certainly a good sign. I guess we have to wait and see.
With Republicans like Cunningham, who needs Democrats?

Is Kaloogian from Kalamazoo? I think that’d be hilarious.

Sam, Cunningham had an ACU rating in the mid-90s - don’t get me wrong, unethical conduct hurts the party, but did he do anything else against the party/conservative movement?

“Anything else” doesn’t matter. He disgraced his constituents and our party by corrupting his service. No rating can erase his shameful actions of putting money, greed, power, whatever you want to call it, above honest deliberations and votes that the voters relied on him to cast as a Representative. Just one more example of politicians not taking their sworn oath seriously.

I’d say a multi-million dollar bribe is probably disgraceful enough.

I thought the Conservative Radio Hosts ‘john and ken’ started it by getting people to agree with them and i think i remember Darrel Issa was on their Show about Recalling Davis .
