BUY DANISH
Written by YellowJacket on February 5th, 2006In response to the barbaric antics of Muslims around the world denouncing Denmark and Danish products, several blogs have endorsed a “Buy Danish” campaign to show support for freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and opposition to the psychotic response from the “peaceful” religion of Islam. Michelle Malkin has a round-up of products and more information. Check it out and buy something Danish if you get the chance. Mike and I will attempt to buy some Tuborg or Carlsberg beer as soon as possible.

I believe in freedom of speech and expression but to say, “Buy Danish” purely because they slandered a group of people is about as immature and assinine as you can get. Isn’t there enough hate in the world already or does that really need fueling?

The original idea behind the cartoons was to start a dialouge about whether or not media in the West was self-censoring itself when it came to the topic of Islam because it was afraid of what the Islamic world’s reaction might be. Obviously they were right. The reason to buy Danish isn’t because some newspaper from the country “slandered” a group of people, but because the country as a whole is being unfairly boycotted by a group of people because they are intolerant, ignorant savages. I am proud that the Danes have brought the issue of muslim ignorance, hate and backwardness to the forefront. As for the idea that these cartoons are “slander”, well that tells me all I need to know about you. Grow some stones.
