Gilchrist
Written by Mark Harris on February 10th, 2006
Jim Gilchrist stopped by the bloggers row and our contributor Nathan did a short interview with him. Audio is below. Gilchrist had run in the special election for California 48 to replace Rep. Cox. He recieved 25.1% of the vote.
Unfortunately, technical dificulties caused the interview not to record, but Gilchrist emphasized how important it was for the GOP to address immigration as an issue or else it risked losing a lot of votes among the conservative base.

At the LI Blogging Workshop yesterday, La Shawn Barber told me about the “Bloggers Row”… But I wasn’t sure what that was. I had mentioned how a couple hours earlier, I was IMing with Erick Erickson (who was at home sick), asking him if they were doing the “CPAC Bloggers” thing again this year; that website, though is still from 2005. Anyway, La Shawn told me that they weren’t doing the credentialing again this year, like last year… Which is fine for me, since I may not have been chosen anyway.
But where is this “bloggers row”? Incidentally, I am currently “crouched in the hallway,” as one girl just noted, after having to leave the Regency room, due to the lack of a visible power outlet.
Will see you guys soon…
