I linked to a wire story earlier in the week that seemed to warn MO Senator Jim Talent he would not be reelected if he pushed for a ban on human cloning.
I encouraged any pro-life billionaires out there to make him a project this year–some election-year encouragement.
Today in the Senate, though, word is Talent has withdrawn his name from the Human Cloning Prohibition Act (S. 658).

Disappointing, yet not surprising. He is a Republican. They always wuss out.

…and who doesn’t? Quit bashing the GOP just because it’s fashionable at your Dungeons and Dragons games in your mom’s basement. Trying to treat being a Republican like it’s some blanket badge of cowardice shows how disconnected you are from the problem.
