Reflections from the PLC

Written by Mark Harris on April 2nd, 2006

I had the privilege of attending the PA Leadership Conference this weekend and just wanted to make some notes.

1. Rick Still Has The Spark
Rick gave remarks at dinenr and was right on. It was like ‘94 again where you could see the energy. I think this is what will in the end carry him to victory. Though he needs all of our help.

2. Joe Scarborough Rocks!
Joe keynoted the dinner and he was awesome. He just eviscerated, I mean absolutely 100% evisverated the Republican establishment. He started the speech with a great intro few minutes about how he loved Pat Toomey and was so sad to see him lose to Arlen (Arlen’s name drew quite the reaction.

3. YCOPs Got It Going On
Young Conservatives of Pennsylvania, the baby of Chris Lilik, was in rare form this weekend. I think there are a lot more good things coming out of this awesome group of folks. Ryan and Chris really are kicking tail.

4. The Republican Revolt In PA
People are MAD, MAD, MAD. The base has got the pitch forks and the revolution is coming, that was the overall impression of the weekend. Jubelierer and Brightbill’s names were basically mud, and those organizations that had been cozying up to these uber-RINOs over the past few weeks were taking heat from all sides.

Wouldn’t it be great if Katherine Harris got out of the race so Scarborough could run?
