Anytime the nutcase Republicans bring up religion, they WIN.When will we realize that we Dems are the losers on this issue.
Christians in America are overwhelmingly retarded. They’ll buy shit shit of Santorums.
We need to educate Christians. They are the morons that have ruined America. Laughing at the Repubs who use them won’t work.
Whackos get their info thru the Christian right. We’ll bring them out to vote against something and make sure the public lets the whole thing slip past them.

The context of this argument is remarks Sen. Santorum made about Europe dying due to the loss of Christianity. How that is self-apparent to most people I do not understand. Santorum’s speech as I mentioned earlier was great, and the fact the Dems are in such a tizzy is a good sign. The main point here is that the commenter is right, when GOP talks religion it wins. The “stupid” Christians who actually believe in an objective right and wrong, which apparently is passe. How sad.

chemsmith, like most liberals, is convinced that because people can’t seem to understand his worldview that they are naturally stupid (ie. incapable of doing so). Liberalism is a pathology, not an ideology which is why projection (or thinking that someone else views reality and the world the same way you do) is so common among them.
There are dumb Christians, I would even hazard to guess that because Christianity is so prevelant among rural and poorer communities that many Christians are less educated than your typical non-believer. This is all irrelevant of course to the reality that Christians don’t ” . . . buy shit shit of Santorums” (lovely grammar) because they are dumb, but rather because it makes perfect sense with what they know to be true through their faith, personal experience and education.
BTW, a lack of Christianity is not what is killing Europe. A lack of belief in anything is killing Europe. If Europe tomorrow became Hindu and they pursued that faith with a passion, people would have something to live for, a culture to protect. Afterall, India is not dying for a lack of Christianity, rather it is thriving because the people believe in their lives and purpose on this earth, something Europe has forgotten all about in their rush to be post-modern.
