Sources claim the GOP will be holding its 2008 convention in the Twin Cities. Two years ago I would have said this sounds like a great idea, the upper midwest was the new south after all. Now? Who knows. I hope this news gets people out to vote for Kennedy (the good one) and Pawlenty though.

CNN has a new feature, the CNN Political Ticker. I’ve found it to be pretty useful lately, though it does tend to join the growing echo chamber of similar sites that all report a great deal of the same material. However, it is nice to see links from actual AP stories and such. The CNN Political Ticker should join the RCP Blog and Politics1 in everyone’s daily political run-down.

Because sometimes you just can’t get enough of the catfighting between Sen. George Allen and Jim Webb.
