How Capitalism Saved Amerca
Written by Benaiah on September 29th, 2006Thomas DiLorenzo, author of How Capitalism Saved Amerca and an economics professor at Loyola College in Maryland, will speak at Hampden-Sydney College on Wednesday, October 4.
I am proud to call Hampden-Sydney my alma mater. Hampden-Sydney is not afraid to stand for tradition, and to buck the trend of liberal academia. As the 10th oldest college in the Union, Hampden-Sydney prides itself in turning good men into good citizens, that’s right; men. Hampden-Sydney is one of only 2 all-male colleges left in the country and proud of it.
So if you find yourself in middle Virginia next week stop in and grab some Hitchin’ Fries from The Hitchin’ Post and then head over to “The Hill” to revel in the joys of capitalism.

Three, I think. Hampden-Sydney, Morehouse, and Wabash College in Indiana. What’s incredible is that very few universities even offer all-male dormitories, it just isn’t available. Of course, doing so would probably give credance to heteronormativeness or something.

I think its more lack of demand than giving credence to heteronormativeness. At Duke, there are a couple of all-male halls, but the people I know in them didn’t choose to be put there. There just aren’t enough people who want an all-male dorm.

Morehouse is its own College but has joined the Atlanta University Center, which also includes Clark Atlanta University, Spellman and the I.T.C.
