As many of you know, I am running for State Representative in Pennsylvania. I challenged a ten year incumbent in the Republican primary this Spring and beat him, and am now locked in a tight race in the upcoming November general election. If I win, at 21 I will be the youngest member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly.

The spring primary campaign was negative - but nothing compared to what we’ve faced now in the general election. We’ve been hit with misleading negative attacks on everything from gun control to social security (which of course is not even an issue in a state election).

Last night, we lost fifty yard signs to vandals. Over a hundred more have been stolen in the past week.

Our opponents are so desperate that they’ve even referenced my posts on this blog. This is probably a first in blogosphere history - a blogger attacked in a campaign for his blogging. Of course, they don’t accurately quote my posts - just parts of sentences designed to paint a picture that they think will deceive voters into voting for my opponent.

I am proud to be a conservative, and I’m proud of my blogging and activism on the Internet.
