UPDATE: They’re also saying that President Bush is going to take advantage of the Democrat majority to pass his amnesty program.

It’s not an amnesty program. It’s a guest worker program, where people are documented as working in the United States. It is only the most orderly arrangement. And we can make them learn English too.
Heaven forbid there be more Catholic hispanics in this country.

Yeah, because allowing people who entered this country illegally, forged Social Security cards, didn’t pay income taxes, and basically suckled at the teat of the American taxpayer in regards to healthcare, allowing them to become citizens ahead of those who patiently follow the legal process from the confines of their own countries, no, THAT’S not amnesty!!!
…um, then Joe, what do you call it? Oh, wait, don’t answer, I know - “compassionate conservatism.” Almost forgot that.
