Hillary, the New Thatcher?

Written by Sam on January 20th, 2007

HILLARY CLINTON is to be presented as America’s Margaret Thatcher as she tries to become the first woman to win the White House. As she entered the 2008 presidential race yesterday, a senior adviser said that her campaign would emphasise security, defence and personal strengths reminiscent of the Iron Lady.

Times Online

Excuse me, but comparing Hillary Clinton to Margaret Thatcher is a hard slap in the face to ole’ Maggie.  Hillary Clinton doesn’t have an ounce of the courage, sincerity, and honor that Margaret Thatcher has.

Yeah, she killed Vince Foster; and she’s a lesbian too!

Isn’t it amazing how the pickup-driving gun-toting white trash right-wing attack machine launches into action like a bunch of blathering sheep? How much time this week has Fox News has devoted to discussing that Obama has a family member who’s muslim or that he smokes?

I guess because you’re too stupid to come up with any real issues to discuss, or lack an audience with an attention span higher than a lizard and unable to digest serious ideas, this is the kind of asinine filth you need to get your “base” fired up.

Your comment is completely asinine and devoid of any intellectual meaning.

You can blast us all you want, but the fact remains that Hillary is a triangulating fake who is doing anything she can to get ellected President so she can wreak her Socialist havoc on America.

For someone who claims to be smart, you sure do use senseless arguments.

Do you have anything of substance to offer? Or are you going to continue to give nothing but personal attacks?

I constantly find it amusing how liberals, who are supposedly the more “tolerant” class, are eager to attack people who drive pick up trucks or who tote guns around. Are you aware that the pickup truck is a vehicle used for good reason by many people, regardless of political affiliation, class, or intellect? Are you aware that “gun toting” is a principle right given to us by the Bill of Rights?

I do not own a pickup truck (though I wish I did, because I could get a lot of use out of it) and I do not own a gun. However, I am amused by the constant barrage of attacks by liberals against those who do chose to own the aforementioned items.

Get over your “holier than thou” attitude and try debating the issues. Do you think Hillary would be good for America? Then justify it. Justify one political point you make. When you can do that, we’ll have an honest discussion. Until then, you will continue to be ignored.

If you think the Clinton people aren’t behind the Muslim smear….

Smoking is bad too…mmmkay? That’s why nanny staters passed the smoking bans.

I have written the Clinton campaign a personal letter asking her not to run for the good of the democratic party and the country, I’ll keep y’all posted on the results of this letter.

I’ll write the White House a letter asking the Bush and Cheney families to go into exile for the good of the country. I’ll keep y’all posted on the results of this letter.

Please do keep us up to date on that. FYI, David was presumably speaking in his capacity as a Democrat, so getting snarky might not be the most appropriate reaction on your part.

Hillary is obviously going to be the nominee, and probably the next President. I agree that she’s not the best choice, and probably will not vote for her in the primary, but she’s certainly an acceptable nominee.

I’m not sure it’s wise for democrats to be spending their time degrading the credibility of their future nominee, simply out of anger that you can’t engineer your own optimal nominee.

My one thought on Hillary is this. How could this supposed feminist, who lead the public attack squads against the women her husband sexually abused, really be taken serious by the left. Blinded by the pursuit of power I guess.

Learn the past tense of the verb “to lead” and I might take your next post seriously.

Get over your massive ego and argue something substantial, with facts to boot, and we might take you seriously.

Sorry, I can’t take something seriously that’s not written in English at a level that most high-school students have mastered.

You’re telling me that quality of written English has NO influence on your evaluation of the quality of a written argument

Eh, Michael C. Bush’s record didn’t keep him from his reign of terror. You accuse democrats of being blinded by pursuit of power?
But what exactly are you talking about “attack squads?”

Paula Jones was a piece of trailer trash, in the true sense of the word. Even Ann Coulter admitted this eventually.

You are a remarkably uncharitable individual.

It’s charitable to level outrageous and completely discredted allegations against former presidents of the United States?

And I’m very charitable! I gave money to moveon.org and the ACLU just two weeks ago!

anonymous3, I can see it now. You’re sitting by your computer eagerly awaiting the next comment so you can print it out and correct it for grammar and spelling mistakes with your red felt tip pen. Because I am a giver here is a little grammar porn.

anonymous3 ain’t got know since about bloggin.

Did that get you all excited? So are you a Bic man? Or are you felt tip pen snob and use only Pentel pens?

It is obvious you do not know anything about giving and donating to charity. If you did you would know that the ACLU and moveon.org are not charities. Typical liberal. You would rather tell others what to do with their money than actually give your own time and money to a real charity. We all know who gives the most in this society. Conservative households in America donate 30% more money to charity each year than liberal households.

“And I’m very charitable! I gave money to moveon.org and the ACLU just two weeks ago!”

Do you know what sarcasm is? I guess even the slightest bit of subtlety goes over your head.

Also, controlling for religious attitudes, political attitudes doesn’t make much of a difference in charitable giving. Religious liberals give way more than non-religious conservatives.

Break it down however you want to. Conservatives still give more on average than liberals.

I think the correct phrasing would be that conservatives give “way more”.

I find it hard to believe that anyone could spout the names Margaret Thatcher and Hillary Rodham Clinton in the same sentence, unless it went something like this:

“There is no way on God’s green earth that Hillary Rodham Clinton would ever stack up to the prowess that was Margaret Thatcher”.

If the closest America ever comes to having a woman leader in the mold of a Margaret Thatcher is Hillary, then I really, really feel sorry for our Country!!!

Citation please. I don’t have any reason to disbelieve you, but I’d like to see the numbers.
