Just another sign that Romney is the anti-McCain.
The more interesting thing here is how the establishment is dividing in half over Romney and McCain. The question now is who the grassroots support. They might not like either candidate, but Romney has not stabbed them in the back consistently.

Find out who the Bush mafia is supporting and run as fast as you can the other way.

It’s hard to support Romney when you never know from day-to-day what he is supporting.
1. For gay marriage, now against it.
2. Was pro-abortion, now is pro-life.
I could go on for days here folks…..
Having Speaker Hastert endorse Romney doesn’t win me over either. I am no more of a fan of Hastert’s leadership than I was of Bill Frist’s………………….
Romney pushed for mandatory health insurance in Massachusetts while governor along with penalties for those who don’t get health insurance. He also had hired illegal immigrants to do lawn work for him — the article about the illegal immigrants is here. He’s not the conservative choice and I hope we start seeing some solid conservatives begin to realize this and start rallying behind someone who shares their values — ala Hunter, Tancredo, Paul, Keating, etc.

first of all is Hastert’s endorsement really that great? he deserves a lot of the credit for losing the republican majority and I wouldn’t say he did that great of a job when we were in the majority. Many Hastert’s endorsement will open the way for more establishment support but I doubt it will mean little beyond that.
secondly where is Rudy? I haven’t heard too much about his campaign.

I hate to break it to you, but the establishment is the only thing that counts.

I fervently believe that we will have a Muslim president before we have a Mormon.

Ok…so, say Hastert is “The Establishment”…
Most regular voters don’t even know who Hastert is, and those who do realize he was Speaker of the House when Republicans stopped being Republicans.
So, when a former leader, who sucked at being a leader comes out and says Romney will be a good leader of our country, I have my doubts!! Compared to who?? Dennis Hastert? We can only hope!!
