Rush Limbaugh has been nominated for 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

The inventor of the internets will most likely come away with the prize.

    This “Gore said he invented the Internet” meme is a disgusting and outrageous slander, and my guess is that you’re smart enough to know that he never actually said anything that even the village idiot would be able to interpret as that — but maybe you’re not smart enough, I don’t know.

    However, it’s a great case-in-point at how effective the republican propaganda machine is and how eager all the stupid bleeting minions of the Republican party are to rehash this kind of idiotic demagoguery ad nauseam *SEVEN YEARS* after the fact. Kerry’s “I voted for before I voted against…” thing is another example of a statement that was perfectly reasonable in context and made sense to anyone with a brain.

    I have to say that this is one thing democrats don’t do. Please provide an example of a quote that:
    1. Democrats have attributed to a republican
    2. is obviously sufficiently out of context that the quoted text bears no resemblance to the intent of the speaker
    3. is repeated ad nauseam like gospel by party lemmings frequently seven years after the fact

    Let’s use a variation of a ridiculous argument Langley tried with me earlier this week:

    Al Gore did more to invent the internet than George Bush did, so he deserves to be credited as the inventor.

    What has Limbaugh done to merit being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize? Seriously. He is a radio broadcaster and an entertainer, but he hasn’t actively done anything that advances peace in my opinion.

    The only argument I had was pointing out how ridiculous the old, “Bush is an idiot” mantra that you oh-so-subtlely tried to hint at.

    I really don’t care or know who is smarter of Bush or Kerry, my point was only that the tired “Bush is a chimp” line is ridiculous.

    What are you trying to prove here?
