BREAKING: Thompson To Make ‘Big Announcement’ On Sunday
Written by Mark Harris on March 10th, 2007Via Fox News
Have staunch conservatives found their presidential candidate? We’ll have an exclusive interview with former Sen. Fred Thompson
9am EST here in Arlington on Sunday…
I am going to predict he jumps in, but he could also be making an endorsement announcement. The thing is I think that if he were doing that the info would’ve leaked by now. Going to be an exciting 36 hours.

I certainly do not anticipate an endorsement. Hopefully, he will announce as a candidate, so there is time to put the structure together for a credible campaign. Is it too late? Maybe, but Thompson exudes trust…confidence. He’s a dream candidate for Conservatives, and an announcement now would boost his chances immensely.

I’ve got news for you: Tommy Thompson is controlled by the same corrupt little clique that controls James Doyle. Namely, P. Nicholas Hurtgen, who has been indicted on seven felonies; and Hurtgen’s brother-in-law, Phil Prange, who is a lobbyist for Philip Morris while his wife lobbies for the American Cancer Society. Hurtgen’s second cousin, M. William Gerrard, was a lobbyist for PM, too. Another Thompson crony, James Wimmer, was a lobbyist for the Tobacco Institute and Bear, Stearns and Company, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield United of WI, while Wimmer’s bosom buddy, Michael Brozek, created the lobbying division of the State Medical Society and lobbied for the Tobacco Institute as well! Talk about playing both sides - the same gang is running both parties, and both sides of the smoking issue!

Does anyone know if Thompson campaigned for anyone in 06? What about the Tenn Senate primary did he stay neutral?
Just curious.

So what was the big announcement? I never heard anything.
