Hagel and Smith Vote for Timetable

Written by Sam on March 27th, 2007

This just came across a few minutes ago. The Senate version of a timetable withdraw from Iraq passed 50-48. They got Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) to change his position in supporting the plan and Chuck Hagel (R-Nebraska) and Gordon Smith (R-Oregon) crossed over to provide the minimal amount of passing votes. John Enzi (R-Wyoming) and Tim Johnson (D-South Dakota) were not present for voting.
