Who Do You Feel Won?

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

I think Huckabee was the shining star in tonight’s debate. He gave great answers for every question he was asked and didn’t sound like he was just regurgitating the party line or throwing out sound bites.

Who do you think “won” tonight’s debate? This isn’t necessarily the person you are supporting or the one you agreed with the most, but who do you think made the best case for their views?

A Few Polls To Take Note Of

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

First of all, Rasmussen has Fred Thompson 2nd among Republican voters nationally (from RealClearPolitics):

Rasmussen released his GOP numbers today and Fred Thompson has vaulted to second place.

Giuliani 23
Thompson 17
Romney 15
McCain 14
Gingrich 9

Second of all, support amongst California Hispanic Republicans has gone down for McCain and up for Fred Thompson and others blasting the immigration bill over the past month (see here). These are Hispanic Republicans, but still, I think this proves a point that the party won’t magically “lose the Hispanics forever” (cue the horror music and hysterics of the GOP Establishment) by fighting to enforce our laws and protect our borders.

That’s all I got today. Enjoy the Republican “Debate” Comedy Hour(s) on CNN and Fred Thompson Against The Man on Hannity and Colmes tonight (see post below).

FYI…

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

The Republican candidates will debate on CNN at 7:00 p.m. Eastern tonight, sans Fred Thompson.

Fred, in a stroke of political genius, will have the floor to himself directly after the debate, on Hannity & Colmes at 9:00 on FOX News (FOX surely can’t be trying to steal CNN’s post-debate coverage, could they?!? Good move FOX).

Arthur Branch Sen. Thompson will also be on Kudlow & Company with Larry Kudlow tomorrow afternoon at 5:00.

Sen. Thomas Dies

Tuesday, June 5th, 2007

Our prayers are with the family. Thomas was a three term Senator who served his country admirably. A succesor will be chosen by Gov. Freudenthal (D) from three finalists selected by the State GOP.
