So Ends The Sad Story Of Amnesty International

They do a lot of good work but they also tend to have an anti-American ax to grind. Well apparently, they finally drove the stake of leftist ideology into their coffin by stating that abortion on demand was a universal human right.
The Catholic Church had frequently worked with Amnesty on high profile cases but apparently is urging all Catholics to now end their relationship with the organization. The story is here.
I am not asking them to adopt some pro-life plank, but just to stay out so people of conscience could join together to fight the fight for human rights that they have been so involved in.

I have no problem with saying access abortion incases of rape is human right. while i would always advocate to rape victim to keep the baby till abortion, i certainly believe that no state should deny her access in those situations

You could make an arguement for both sides in that case. Even if it is an undesired pregnancy the child in the womb still has rights. The real story is that Amnesty International has always been a joke, coddling dictators and corrupt nations around the world while fighting the “tough battles” against western states with minor human rights abuses. On the whole they have done far more harm than good with what the Buddha called “idoit compassion”.
