I imagine most of the people on this blog started out as relatively mindless CRs and then gradually became the thoughtful conservatives they are today.  I know my political journey certainly didn't begin with movement conservatism, rather just a vague idea that there was something better out there than what we had.

I think in the next 5-10 years this generation will thoroughly redeem itself as one of the most conservative, classically liberal generations of American history.</description>

		<description>I concur on the notion that too many younger conservatives have grasp of the ideological foundations of the movement. The American Conservative had an article within the last year on this very topic. While I do not agree with them on many things, their analysis of the intellectual mindlessness of many people involved in organizations such as College Republicans was correct. But should we be surprised by their mindless following of this President?</description>
