Boxer Amendment Would Stop Enforcement of Immigration Prior to 2010 Census
Written by Sam on October 8th, 2007Michelle Malkin has exposed a Senate Amendment that will be introduced by Senator Barbara Boxer (Kommunist - Kalifornia Soviet Socialist Republic) that would limit the enforcement of our immigration laws so that more illegal immigrants can be counted in the 2010 Census. As Malkin points out, the reason for this is obvious. California has 53 Congressional seats and if aggressive immigration enforcement was done over the next couple of years this could jeopardize a seat or two. The Democrats are already en route to lose several electoral votes in 2012 simply due to reapportionment of the Congressional districts. Red states are growing quickly while the blue ones are whithering, which is no surprise. Socialist policies don’t create growth.
There is a photo copy of the amendment on Malkin’s Web site and the incriminating text of the amendment reads as follows:
(b) SENSE OF THE SENATE - It is the sense of the Senate that as part of the effort to count all persons physically in the United States during the 2010 Census, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Bureau of the Department of Homelad Security should limit aggressive enforcement of immigration laws to promote full participation by non-citizens in the Census.
Non-citizens do not have a vote and therefore should not be counted for Congressional representation. That is just common sense. Boxer is attempting to manipulate the law in order to violate it for political power at the detriment of the nation.
Call your Senators and tell them to vote No to the Boxer Amendment, SA 3246. This is an amendment to HR 3093, the 2008 appropriations bill which will be reconsidered next Monday, the 15th. Let’s see how many of our Senators have the backbone to do the right thing.
