Even worst--what happens if our intention to form a rival league of nations is seen by others as a way to create a block of nations that will answer to our beck and call? In regards to why this is a good idea, I'd have to respond to the comments above about why it wouldn't be. 1) Excluding China would be a good thing.....China's positions on the Security Council in regards to Iran and Darfur are very troubling. 2) It could be used as a leverage to get countries to become even more democratic.
