Tancredo To Make Big Announcement Tomorrow

Written by Sam on December 19th, 2007

I just heard on the news a few minutes ago that Tom Tancredo is expected to make a big announcement tomorrow.  Is he dropping out of the Presidential race?  Could he be announcing a Senatorial run?  Or could it be both?

I had been thinking about voting for him. I’m disappointed.

Tancredo should have dropped out long before now for the simple point that he and Duncan Hunter are carbon copies of each other. For better or worse the two of them are the best example of modern mainstream conservativism. But then I remember Hunter is actually running for SecDef and Tancredo for his ego.

    Now, what about Duncan Hunter?

Once the race get rid of the one trick ponies, the GOP field will reflect the future posible directions of the party.

If Tancredo announces a run for a Senate seat, he has said back in October that it would be in 2010 against first-term Democrat Ken Salazar.

I know that he has no shot at the Presidency (as does Mr. Tancredo himself, as he has stated), but it still would be disappointing to see him go. I will disagree with “chaoticform”, as both Tancredo and Hunter have been great to have in this campaign. They have been the willing ones, other than Fred Thompson, to bring up issues the other frontrunners have been wimping out on. The “tough” issues like illegal immigration, China, and American jobs. As being a part of the middle class, and talking with fellow middle classers often, I know that these are the issues we care about, along with taxes, the size of government, the war against Western civilization, and family issues. These are the deciding issues of our day, and Tancredo and Hunter have not been afraid to discuss them. Thank God for people with guts! That is the stuff our conservative movement is truly made of!

Also, it looks like Jim is trying to make a joke out of Mr. Tancredo. It is people like him who have misunderstood this great statesman and made him out to look like some kind of racist or some bull like that. If Tancredo was really a racist, why does he have a Hispanic spokesman?

God bless ya, Tancredo whatever your political decision is. I will still continue to respect you and I plan to endorse you if you run for Senate in 2010. In 2008, go Bob Schafer for U.S. Senate in Colorado!

Tom Tancredo … safe to say his post-race plans won’t involve throwing a few back in Cancun or relaxing on the sandy beaches of Cozumel.

There’s rumor that Tancredo may be endorsing someone, especially considering tha the’s making this announcement in Iowa. He had some grass root support in Iowa and is close with Congressman King…so, who knows.

I’d love to see him run for Senate, but not this time. If he waits until 2010, I’ll be the first to contribute.

I can’t see Tancredo winning a state wide election in Colorado. Maybe if he moved over into Utah.
