The Huckabee campaign accidentally revealed their aversion to Conservative principles:

His aides are wary of New Hampshire. “It’s all no tax, no government there,” said Bob Wickers, a top strategist. “It’s not ideal.”

Hat tip to Instapundit.

UPDATE: David Sanders has a good article in the Wall Street Journal today about Huckabee’s love of big government.

Yep Huckabee is a Rhino along with his evangelical followers. They have called social moderates in the party Rhinos for years, but aren’t they the real Rhinos? They only support Republican principles when it furthers their religious interests. Once the principles clash with their faith, they are more than willing to engage in big government tactics to achieve their spiritual ends. The party is getting what it deserves for making its bed with a crowd that is not conservatives in the economic sense.

If New Hampshire wasn’t up north and so damn cold in the winter time I would move there. They are the freest state in the country.

If Huckabee gets the nomination, it’ll prove that conservatives (like me) are the RINOs, for then the conservatives–the opponents of the nanny state, high taxes, open borders, and a Jimmy-Carteresque foreign policy–will have been repudiated by what used to be their own party.

    That’s sick.
