You’re right that this is a property rights issue — You don’t have the right to pollute my air or water without some kind of compensation.

What if your neighbor dumped nuclear waste in his yard that leaked into your water pipes? What would you tell him? “It’s your yard”

You just know that if South Carolina tried to build a clean nuclear power plant, the same people would file the same lawsuit seeking to shut that down too. And God forbid we drill for oil in that desolate wasteland called ANWR.

Then they’ll keep blaming Bush and Halliburton for sky-rocketing gas prices…
