Huckabee Takes LA, McCain WA

Written by Sam on February 10th, 2008

Huckabee eeked out a win in Louisiana by about 2,000 votes:

  1. Huckabee - 43%
  2. McCain - 42%
  3. Romney - 7%
  4. Paul - 5%

Washington was just the opposite, with McCain just winning by 2 points. Notably, Ron Paul came within in 5% of winning the state.

  1. McCain - 26%
  2. Huckabee - 24%
  3. Paul - 21%
  4. Romney - 16%
  5. Uncommitted - 13%

In Washington, this is just the beginning of the process. These are only delegates to the county convention. It is close to a three way tie with McCain, Huckabee and Paul. And Romney even got 16.7% and “uncommitted” got 12.3%. There are more anti-McCain votes than McCain delegates going to their county conventions. McCain will not win without a fight.

Plus, the state party hasn’t even finished counting.

There is no winner yet in Washington.
