‘Sustainability’: For Some, It’s More than the Environment!

Written by YellowJacket on April 29th, 2008

What’s that saying about some environmentalists? Oh, yeah - the comparison to watermelon… green on the outside, red on the inside.

This is a good article detailing much of the sustainability movement’s political goals that exceed environmental conservation into the “social justice” that the Left espouses.

As a capitalist who works in conservation biology, I feel the need to defend my movement.

Yes, there are many marxist anti-business psychos who support the conservation movement.

There are also people in the pro-life movement who believe in killing people for being gay, or even not Christian.

In neither case does the whacko fringe invalidate the overall good that the movement does.

The difference is that the anti-business anti-growth people are much more influential and I daresay front-and-center in the liberal wing, while people in the pro-life movement who are extreme are in the minority.
