Well, since I have posted here many times on the fact that politicians dont have control over oil/fuel prices, I dont think that Pelosi and friends have been jacking it up (actually they are really not intelligent enough to do that). The point was that it was a huge campaign issue in the 06 midterms (with the intent to blame gas at $2/gallon on bush) and now there is utter media silence.

Surely even a chemist understands that just because two events are coincident does not mean that one causes the other. After all, I wake up at 6 every morning and then the sun rises. Does this mean that I am causing the sun to rise?

Since Dave is so impressed with red graphs, let’s say I drew a red graph of my own: number of American deaths from terrorism under various presidential administrations. Let me apply Dave’s logic to this.

“There’s a sharp spike in American deaths from terrorism under GW Bush (the “Bush Premium”). Therefore, GW Bush is responsible for these deaths. Also, the media doesn’t show my red graph on TV. They’re so biased in favor of conservatives!!!”

John, the Democrats are the ones that ran around the country telling whoppers about how they were going to pull us out of Iraq, introduce fiscal responsibility, and lower gas prices and you all believed them. It’s pretty clear who the idiots are.

Wow, the graph in that video (the red one) is astounding. Why is the media not asking Pelosi and Reid about this? Remember all the crowing about 2 dollar gas during the election? Not a peep now, but hey, the media isnt biased a bit are they?!
