A Totally Non-PC Description of Democrats

Written by YellowJacket on August 20th, 2008

From commenter RJD at RedState:

The Democrat Party…

tolerant, inclusive, big tent and open to all (elite whites, atheists, socialists). If you’re of a minority (race, sexual preference, etc.) vote for us, but shut the hell up and don’t rock the boat.

As I said, non-PC… but you can’t say that it isn’t at least partially true.  This is the first comment from an RS post highlighting a DNC page that criticizes all potential McCain veep picks, which for Eric Cantor can’t help but mention that both he and Jack Abramoff are Jewish (I’m not kidding).  Dan McLaughlin, the author of the post, points out:

In fact, in a webpage that runs just 660 words, the word “Jewish” appears five times, which I suppose in some circles is a really devastating indictment of Cantor.

Good catch.  Check out the article, there’s a screenshot and everything.

Oh, come on, guys. It’s not saying that his being Jewish is a bad thing and doesn’t imply that in any way.

No it didn’t have to, the message was loud and clear.

The problem wasn’t the message, but the history of anti-semitism on the far-left that has blossomed in the last few years since 9/11 and Iraq.

Why does it matter that Cantor and Abramoff are both Jewish? Unless of course that connection has some special importance to the reader. They could have smeared Cantor with the Abramoff name just fine without repeatedly rhetorically bludgeoning us to death with “and he’s Jewish!”

Could it have been entirely innocent? Sure it could have, but I have read too much anti-Jewish crap on Daily Kos, and DU think that didn’t have a purpose.
