There are only two days left until the Alaskan primary where Republican voters will have a choice to renominate Don Young and Ted Stevens to our detriment, or two new candidates who can keep the seats in Republican hands.  The Democrats are aware of this too.  According to a press release from Sean Parnell’s campaign, the DNC has funnelled $55,000 into this primary running negative ads against him and encouraging people to vote for Young.  Young trails Democrat Berkowitz in the general election.  Berkowitz trails Parnell.  In the Senate race, Stevens is trailing his Democratic opponent by double digits.

I am crossing my fingers in hopes that Alaskan Republicans will make the right choice on Tuesday, but I’ve learned throughout the years just how ignorant the voting populace can be.  In all honesty, I am expecting Stevens to win and as far as the House race goes, it’s anyone’s ball game.
