McClintock Claims Victory in CA-04

Written by Sam on November 30th, 2008

Thank God we dodged this bullet.  California State Senator and ultra fiscal conservative Tom McClintock will be “informally” claiming victory tomorrow in the race for California’s 4th Congressional District which encompasses the northeast part of the state.  This is the man that should have been governor of California, but frankly I’d rather have him in Washington.  Californians can reap what they have sowed.  McClintock in Congress helps us all.

Even though the Republican caucus in the House has gotten smaller, the conservativeness of the caucus has has increased due to this “sharpening of the blade,” and the addition of Tom McClintock will only serve to help the RSC (Republican Study Committee), et al who are actually working towards real conservative solutions for Americans.

My Congressman, Tom Price, is slated to be the next RSC Chair - and what a pivotal time to be in such a position. He should utilize former RSC Chairs Hensarling, Pence, Shadegg, and other conservative stars in the House to position the RSC at the forefront of leading the Republican caucus in the House.

If only Barletta could’ve won that seat… sigh. At least we got McClintock.

McClintock’s a good man and will make a great leader in Washington. Thank God he won! I’m sure his margin of victory will be comfortably larger in ‘10. We need more like him! Rising stars like him, Jeff Flake, Mike Pence, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, Marsha Blackburn, Michele Bachmann, John Campbell, Jeb Hensarling, and John Shadegg are the ticket to bringing this party back to life!
