Really?!?
Written by YellowJacket on January 10th, 2009If you don’t get the headline, look up the series on SNL of “Really?!? with Seth and Amy”.
The Achorage Daily News spins a wild one about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s cooperation, or lack thereof in their view, in the ongoing leftist obsession with the conspiracy theory that Gov. Palin is not the real mother of her recent newborn Trig, due to the far-leftist insistance that Bristol Palin is actually the mother of Trig. This is despite the fact that Bristol just gave birth to her own newborn.
Seriously, read through the ADN’s screech. It’s absurd and downright embarassing to the journalism profession; that is, if the journalism community wants to claim any responsibility or real accountability any more.

The ADN has always had a crazy liberal side. There used to be a “conservative” editorial page (the Voice of the Times) that was left over from a previous Anchorage newspaper, but it was controlled by party hacks who loved Murkowski, Stevens, etc., and therefore hated Palin. So interestingly, the ADN used to be rather responsible in its reporting, but after the Palin joined McCain, it’s become a tabloid full of nothing but rumors.
Honestly, the best coverage of Sarah goes to People Magazine. They’ve got numerous exclusive interviews and pictures, and have had the most accurate and objective reporting. It might be a coincidence, but they had been working on a story about Palin before she was chosen by McCain, so they probably were not as influenced by the media’s character assassination as other journalists. Still, it’s a sad day for the journalism when a supermarket magazine has a better track record than the “professionals” in the media.

I do not care for Palin at all. The more she is around the less I like her.
That said, I find these attacks to be way over the top. There are plenty of things to be critical of her for from her parenting to her politics, but accusing her of this takes the cake.

Ryan, this is like the third time this week that I’ve wanted to say something and you’ve said the exact same thing first… I may be spending too much time reading this blog.

I just read the article you linked to.
It seems to be a journalist explaining that they were writing a report about a crazy conspiracy theory, not validating that conspiracy theory.
I think the fact that crazy people keep saying this ridiculous lie about the Palin family is news- just as crazy people saying that Obama is not a U.S. citizen is news. It doesn’t mean what they’re saying is valid.
