It is Never Enough

So we have spent trillions socializing the economy saving capitalism and are facing fiscal and economic catastrophe. We have spent every single dollar we collected in taxes for the fiscal year long ago and are now printing money like mad and borrowing far more than we have the capacity to repay without bankrupting the nation.

So the government has a solution: they have bailed out Wall Street, they have bailed out the UAW and the automakers, put forward a stimulus package that will only exacerbate the problem and now they have an even better plan to “stimulate the economy”:

Every member of Congress will get $93,000 in petty cash to spend! Wow!

I have an idea. Every member of the GOP rejects this cash and returns it to the treasury. Make the Democrats own this disgusting theft. Everyday in the media beat the drum over this outrage until the Democrats back down and drop the proposal. This is a win-win situation, either the proposal is blocked and we the taxpayers are not robbed blind or the Democrats are exposed as the thieving bastards they are.

If a member of the GOP caucus accepts the money anyway they are booted out and made to caucus as an independent. If the party doesn’t man up and kick out members that choose to participate in this fraud then Republican voters in primaries need to target their representatives that reveal themselves to be criminals.

If you can’t tell I am angry.

  1. Make the Democrats own this? Good luck… even Fox News acknowledges that both Democrats and Republicans were involved with this plan.

I agree though- this is pretty ridiculous.

I am not talking about what IS happening, I said I had an idea for what SHOULD happen.

What other site on the internet goes after the GOP’s jugular quicker when they try and pull crap like this?

That is why I included that part about refusing to vote for any jackass in the party that takes the $93,000.

The fact that the GOP is part of the problem up there in DC was pretty much established over the last eight years. No need to rub it in our faces.

In a similar, albeit ridiculous manner, Democrats should write a law that says only districts where the representative voted in favor of the stimulus bill shall receive a share of it. No new roads, healthcare or education funding. Let the republicans own their vote.

    George Mason,

    You are a moron.

  5. That notion is no less stupid than Limbaugh’s “divide it up based on the percentage of votes Obama won” plan. I’m not saying Mason’s idea is a good one, mind you- just that stupid ideas are not limited to the left.

George Mason’s plan is somewhat interesting- are you guys so sure that the stimulus package won’t help that you’ll let the money go to Democratic regions and not Republican ones?

I was trying to make a talking point, not make a serious statement.

Calling me a moron really “applies [your] political knowledge (what little there may be) and opinions through journalism”
