The Senate voted on Senator John Thune’s (R-SD) amendment today that would have allowed citizens with a concealed carry permit to carry in other states that also allows for concealed carry. We needed 60 votes to get it to go through. We got 58. We would have had the 60 needed if it weren’t for two Republican Senators who voted against it. Be sure to give your “thanks” to your usual RINOs Senators George Voinovich (OH) and Dick Lugar (IN).

One thing that I always found interesting is the strength of the anti-gun movement in the Great Lakes region.
So ridiculous.
Dick Lugar is a major part of the problem in the GOP. Indiana is far, far, far more conservative than Lugar is. We could have a guy like Pence representing the state in the senate. Lugar plans to vote for Sotomayor and now he is one of the key votes to kill a 2nd amendment initiative? Time for him to go.
urban areas are usually anti gun, which makes sense. and there are quite a few large urban areas in the great lakes that have high crime rates.
I assume you are talking about the large white liberal/black populations in Indianapolis, Gary, Fort Wayne and Evansville. Not to mention the liberal college towns of South Bend, Muncie, Bloomington and West Lafayette.
Those people don’t vote GOP to begin with and never will. The majority of the state’s population has long been strongly supportive of gun rights and there is zero excuse for Lugar to be a Republican and oppose such common sense measures.
Lugar is a globalist .. he has done a lot OF DIRTY WORK for those conducting business under the radar re regionalization of North American economies and knows where and how the money is funneled to ‘working groups’ cobbling together various aspects of regional economic integration when that butter finally begins to melt in all those lying hypocrits mouths .. i.e. what Vincente Fox revealed ‘US will beg for a unified currency with Mexico and Canada before its over.’ Hummmm, do you think this bunch of republicans are any less dirty .. using a crisis for their own agenda..than the clinton or obama administrations??? Think again. You can stick Orrin Hatch, former democrat, in with the bunch of RINOs, along with Trent Lott .. both of whom had no small part in killing progress for any kind of REAL conservative agenda.
