Well that’s it. We’re all going to die. They’ve said time and time again that is must be done now! We can’t wait any longer! It will be too late! We have no time! Chicken Little, Chicken Little, the sky is falling! In fact, Al Gore simultaneously commented that Arctic ice may be gone in five years!
New computer modeling suggests the Arctic Ocean may be nearly ice-free in the summertime as early as 2014, Al Gore said Monday at the U.N. climate conference. Northern polar sea ice has been retreating dramatically. These new projections suggest an almost-vanished summer ice cap much earlier than foreseen by a U.S. government agency just eight months ago.
“It is hard to capture the astonishment that the experts in the science of ice felt when they saw this,” former U.S. Vice President Gore told reporters and other conference participants at a joint briefing with Scandinavian officials and scientists, his first appearance at the two-week session.
This is quite a paradox among the environuts. We aren’t going to do anything for at least six years, but by that time the Arctic ice will have melted and that will surely cause the great floods they have been warning about. But if we can wait six years, it can’t be all as bad as they have been saying, right?
So which is it?
This is really sad in a way. These people have so much power and/or wealth, and they are just lunatics. Even deliberately deceptive organizations coordinate their propaganda. These people are just too stupid to all trade a few emails about the ‘lie-o-the-day’.
Speaking of vanishing (ice caps), does anyone in the educated world give Al Gore even a shred of credibility?

Thank you third world for saving the West from itself. If you see a Russian, Chinese or Saudi citizen on the street, thank them for being champions of Western civilization. Also thank any Canadian because their Prime Minister was kicking and screaming over the Oil Sands.
Really my question is how you have 15 conferences on climate change. What a complete waste of time and money. We spent all of 2 hours on the environment in my International Law class and even *that* was too much.
Abby, and the irony is that they all belt out tons of pollution from all transportation and energy used in their private jets and SUV motorcades and such every time they go.

We all missed that chance to soak the rich fools.
But Sam, they can afford to atone for their sins against the earth via carbon credits. So it’s “ok” for them to be frivolous and wasteful…

I really am kicking myself for missing out on the Carbon Credit scheme. Get paid to play trees? I have open land and I would not mind planting some trees and/or hiring undocumented individuals to do it for me for whatever the going rate is today.
