Ann Coulter and Michael Reagan endorse Davidson!

Davidson for CRNC Chairman
LOS ANGELES, CA — On Tuesday evening, Michael Davidson was endorsed by two of the most prominent conservative analysts in the country, Michael Reagan and Ann Coulter.
During a live interview with talk show host Al Rantel on KABC radio, Michael was surprised to field calls from both the best-selling author Coulter and nationally syndicated talk show host Reagan.
Conservative talk show host Michael Reagan, who happened to be listening to the radio during his drive time commute, was the first to call in to the radio show. Stating that he had listened to Michael Davidson on the radio frequently during the campaign and was impressed with his leadership of the College Republicans in California, Reagan gave his unequivocal endorsement:
“The national party is blessed with leaders like President Bush, Karl Rove, and Ken Mehlman. The College Republican National Committee and America’s next generation need their own leadership. That leader should be Michael Davidson.”
A few minutes later, Davidson received a second unexpected phone call from popular conservative author and commentator, Ann Coulter, who was familiar with Michael’s work at UC Berkeley:
“He’s fought for conservative principles on America’s most liberal campus, of course I endorse him! Without a doubt he’s well prepared to take the fight to college campuses across America. It’s the new McCarthyism and we have to expose the Left for what they are.”
Davidson, on the evening’s surprising endorsements, said, “I’m in shock. I can’t believe that just happened.”
After a moment’s pause, he added, “I’m truly honored by their support. Michael and his father have always been a heroes of mine — especially as conservatives from California. And after years leading the Republican charge at Berkeley, I share with Ms. Coulter the talent of, “how to talk to a liberal.”
Reagan and Coulter’s and endorsements come just days after Davidson launched his campaign at CPAC in Washington, DC. They join the California, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington College Republican Federations in supporting Michael Davidson for CRNC Chairman.

Anyone want to take bets on how long it takes Paul “Lapel Pin” Gourley to drop out of the race? I give him a month so that it looks like a respectable exit.

It’s astonishing to see someone like Couulter endorse this guy. One thing that scares me about him is that he is endorsed by Dave Copley, the PA State Chair. Copley screwed one guy out of State Chair in PA by viciously attacking him with accusations. Not to mention I feel Copley is a total party puppet. Got angry at colleges (romor has it sent nasty phone calls) who endorsed Pat Toomey over Arlen Specter. I don’t trust him and wouldn’t align myself with him and his cronies. Therefore, I am very spectacle of Davidson. I don’t know much about Davidson or his politics, but with a Copley endorsement I am on edge.

Ok, I was just wondering about Davidson. I am more confident of Davidson now that Harris is supporting him. In fact, I’ll be introducing Harris at the Gettysburg Conservative Conference this Saturday. I’m not into the whole CRNC scene, so this may seem like an amateur question. What does a CRNC Chair do? Do political views actually matter or is it all about managing finances and delegating, etc.

Actually, views do matter as CRNC Chair Gettysburg. In off years, the CRNC pushes conservative principles on campuses. We have a choice between Paul Gourley, who will push the President’s conservative agenda, or Michael Davidson, a west-coast liberal, who will join with the “Republican Youth Majority” to make sure that the future of our Party is pro-choice, pro-gay, and pro-gun control.

I hardly think that Gourley is more alligned with W than Davidson. Davidson was endorsed by staunch conservatives Michael Reagan and Ann Coulter, including Bush-Cheney ‘04 Youth Director Jordan Sekulow. Gourley applied for the YD position and was flatly rejected as incompetent. This race is about perpetuating a cycle of tyrrany from 600 Pennsylvania Ave, or about supporting chapters all around the country. We’re the Republican Party, not the Democrats we should believe in local control, not strong-centralized government, as has become the case under Hoplin.

Tom Skatley desperately needs to know that he MUST get his facts straight before saying anything about Davidson.
He obviously doesnt know the first thing about Davidson. He is not a “west-coast liberal.” He is nowhere near that word. He is quite conservative, but not exclusionary. If you’re a Republican he will work with you. He does consider what people he works with have to say…and he does move to solve problems. Most importantly, he really believes in what he is doing.
His leadership has lead to ideas and action have brought the California College Republicans to new heights. He couldn’t be more qualified to be CRNC chair.
How could I possibly know all this? Because I know Michael Davidson, and have worked with him in the California College Republicans and in other capacities over the last 2 years. I supported his re-election as CCR chair and I support him now.

I have to echo the comments of the fellow Davidson supporters. His abilities are far reaching as a leader, and his personal beliefs are impecable.
I watched him pump up a crowd of 25,000 people at a christian concert in central california to a point of chanting “4 more years!” in between music acts.
To the the doubters, I’d like you to know he is battle tested, and capable in every way. He has done amazing things for the California Republican Party with is work as a grassroots volunteer, and leading the CR’s into unparalled success.
He has set the Gold Standard for the College Republicans here … I wish his opponent could say the same.
